Muft haath aye tou bura kya hai

 

نکلنا خلد سے آدم کا سنتے ائے ہیں لیکن 

بہت بے آبرو ہو کر تیرے کوچے سے ہم نکلے 

Nikalna khuld se adam ka sunte aye hain lekin

Bohat be aabru ho kar tere kooche se hum nikle

 

کون ہے جو نہیں ہے حاجت مند 

کس کو حاجت روا کرے کوئی 

Kon hai jo nahi hai haajat mand

Kis ko haajat rawa kare koi

رنج سے خوگر ہوا انساں تو مٹ جاتا ہے رنج

مشکلیں مجھ پر پڑیں اتنی کہ آساں ہو گئیں

Ranj se khogar hua insaan to mit jaata hai ranj

Mushkilein mujh par padi itni ke aasaan ho gayin

 

 ہیں اور بھی دنیا میں سخن ور بہت اچھے

کہتے ہیں کہ غالبؔ کا ہے انداز بیاں اور

Hain aur bhi duniya mein sukhanwar bohat achhe

Kehte hain ke Ghalib ka hai andaaz bayan aur

بسکہ دشوار ہے ہر کام کا آساں ہونا

آدمی کو بھی میسر نہیں انساں ہونا

Baska mushkil hai har kaam ka aasaan hona

Aadmi ko bhi maysar nahi insaan hona

 صحرا کو بڑا عالم ھے اپنی تنہائی پر غالب

اس نے دیکھا نہں عالم میری تنہائی کا

Sehra ko bra aalam hai Apna tanhai pr Ghalib 

Is ne deka nai aalim meri tanhai ka

 آہ کو چاہیئے اک عمر اثر ہوتے تک

کون جیتا ہے تری زلف کے سر ہوتے تک

Aah ko chahiye ek umr asar hote tak

Kon jeeta hai teri zulf ke sar hote tak

 

قرض کی پیتے تھے مے لیکن سمجھتے تھے کہ ہاں

رنگ لاوے گی ہماری فاقہ مستی ایک دن

Qarz ki peete the mai lekin samajhte the ke haan

Rang laye gi hamari faqah masti ek din

کوئی میرے دل سے پوچھے ترے تیر نیم کش کو

یہ خلش کہاں سے ہوتی جو جگر کے پار ہوتا

Koi mere dil se pooche tere teer-e-neemkash ko

Yeh khalish kahan se hoti jo jigar ke paar hota
